When we adopted our new dog Skittles, she was nervous but also very badly behaved.  We took her to classes and worked with other trainers but she seemed to either get worse or stay the same.   I have been owned by dogs for almost 60 years and have worked professionally in the dog care industry for the past 20 years.

  I met Jean over eight years ago and I was instantly drawn to her because she not only shared my own approach to working with dogs but she has the best eye I have ever encountered! Jean can see the relationship problem and understand it from the dog's point of view almost instantly. 

  I would have to say she is probably the most effective teacher in all situations I have ever encountered.

      As a school teacher myself, I appreciate that Jean is willing to tailor lessons to the particular needs of an individual and make each learning moment a positive one.

     I've had the opportunity to work with Jean in the training of my Shiba Inu, Shelby.  Like many of her breed, Shelby is a dog with a strong and often stubborn personality yet rather than trying to alter that or forcing her to be something she's not, Jean created a program that works with my dog's strengths and helps her use them to her advantage to overcome obstacles.  Shelby is not the same dog that she was when we started training!   Thank you!
