What does a "Balanced Approach" to dog training mean?
It means training a dog that will behave not just because you have treats in your hand or even worse because they fear being punished, but because they understand YOUR rules about being a great family
More families own dogs today than ever before and properly training the family dog has taken on a new level importance and priority.
Dog owners are realizing that a good dog rarely “happens” through osmosis, it takes training. We believe that a great family dog should behave with manners regardless of the circumstances.
Expecting any one training method to work for EVERY dog is like expecting a one-size-fits-all shoe to fit every woman.
As experienced trainers, we utilize a toolbox of techniques and can infinitely integrate and combine these techniques to
produce effective and lasting results for your specific dog.
We use rewards (praise, treat, and toy) to initially teach the desired behaviors but we also incorporate humane consequence-based training to stop potentially dangerous behaviors such as biting, leash pulling, or excessive jumping.
